Carlu Carter was born January 6th, 1933 in Winnipeg. After studying with Gladys Forrester, Gweneth Lloyd and Betty Farrally, she was a principal dancer with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet during the 1940s and '50s. She also founded the Carlu Carter Trio with Victor Duret. In 1961, Carter and husband Bill McGrath (also an RWB dancer) moved to Australia where they founded a dance school. / Carlu Carter est née le 6 janvier 1933 à Winnipeg. Après avoir étudié avec Gladys Forrester, Gweneth Lloyd et Betty Farrally, elle fut danseuse principale du Royal Winnipeg Ballet dans les années 1940 et 1950. Elle fonde également le Carlu Carter Trio avec Victor Duret. En 1961, Carter et son mari Bill McGrath (également danseur RWB) ont déménagé en Australie où ils ont fondé une école de danse.
