Returned See the in . what happens urhout the postal codes ? as from 8115 Franklin Ave. , Fort McMurray Easter Week end 1991 Dear Lawrence , It occurs to me that you might consider applying for the " Publisher's Subsidy " that I obtained for Maud_Allan and her Art from the Canadian Federation for the Humanities . Officially , that Grant expires next year and although the delay over publication of The Salome Dancer would be excuse enough , I doubt very much that a hard cover publication will be made by then or , for that matter , ever in Canada . And besides , if a hard cover version were made , then surely it would be best made in the States , for which no subsidy would of course be available . Surely the CFH would have to at least consider your enquiry , since laser disc printing did not exist when the program was established . That's as far as I dare go , since I am so naive about such matters . I suggest this because I am not sure you are aware that I got the Publisher's Grant . By the way , I had a plea from Carol Bishop's doctoral supervisor to give her full access to my material . In my own interest , selfish as it may be , I have advised her that for the foreseable future am not willing to give anyone such access . This applies , of course , to the photo and other material I have sent you . I am intrigued by your reference to a video . Would it include illustrations that are not in either publications with a commentary - presumably by or with me ? Would it include ' dance ' illustrations ( by a professionaal dancer NOT by me ! ) in tune with the material - and one musical sample ? I asked M and s . to send the package of forty illustrations in their hands directly to you , so that , when the time comes , you have as wide a choice as possible . You can return the collection with the binder I sent you , at your convenience . I have more material which you may want to consider - such as close ups of her hands - and , for that matter , drawings of Theo's . The photo of Mrs. Durrant , for which I have requested from the NYPL Dance Collection a proper copy , indicates where these incredible hands came from . Thank you for the letter re . the Grant from Alberta . I hope to get it , as then we can retain Iro Tembeck . My other original promoter , Henry Kreisel , is in hospital , so I shall have to find someone else . halen dold hesent the letter Sunced Teth e HAUR SENT DRAFT " Din SHARANCE "
