Quite a good quality magazine , by the way -- about Life magazine size , slick paper etc , detailing what was current in the theatre scene in New York & London of the day . Maud gets this half page picture with the caption : " Maud Allan as Salome : This American girl whose semi - nude dancing has created a veritable sensation in London will be seen in New York in October . " That was all -- no article or any other mention . Isadora Duncan also gets a brief mention and a copy of a painting of her in a pose . You have probably seen this particular picture of MA before , but I think it is one of her nicer ones . .... Brian < !
