Felix Cherniavsky , 01:11 PM 3/12/200 , No Subject X - From_ : fenba@compusmart.ab.ca Mon Mar 12 15:12:29 2001 Return - Path : < fenba@compusmart.ab.ca > Delivered - To : dancecol@pop.web.net From : " Felix Cherniavsky " < fenba@compusmart.ab.ca > To : < dancecol@pop.web.net > Subject : Date : Mon , 12 Mar 2001 13:11:17 -0700 X - MSMail - Priority : Normal X - MimeOLE : Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V5.00.2615.200 Lawrence ! Would you please airmail a paperback copy of Maud Allan and her Art to : I Gary Williams ' Rotokare ' R.D.3 Napier New Zealand and advise me of cost , unless you debit my ' sales ' record for 2001 ? Gary Williams is the guy who sold me the 1928 Trio record . I recently contacted him re research on the Trio's 1917 tour of NZ . To my astonishment ( and apparently his delight ) he offered to research thoroughly , which he did producing some 40 pages of material ! So he's sending me that immediately . I think the Macleod letters will fascinate him . I'm sparing him The Salome Dancer . I'm going to Vancouver in mid April to help select photos and approve revisions . You have no idea how furious I was when I got the edited version - it ran to only 55 pages - from 105 , and cut out some ' cultural ' backdrop . I calmed down when I realised that the edited version was spaced 1.5 , and my original was 2 " - and so on . The ' cultural ' backdrop is not needed for family reading ! That speaks for itself - in more ways than one ! I think Bridget Lamont's interest might lead to a publication in South Africa ? She will have a field day of ' new ' research for South Africa . Maud's day will come as the day the night . And let me know when you get going on the Allan exhibition so that I can send you a couple or so of orginal letters . Thanks for the 2000 Royalties cheque and for airmailing MA and Her Art to NZ ! - - - . felix . < !
