Felix Cherniavsky , 01:29 PM 8/26/200 , No Subject X - From_ : fenba@compusmart.ab.ca Sat Aug 26 15:31:06 2000 Return - Path : < fenba@compusmart.ab.ca > Delivered - To : dancecol@web.net From : " Felix Cherniavsky " < fenba@compusmart.ab.ca > To : " Dance Collection Danse " < dancecol@web.net > Subject : X - MSMail - Priority : Normal X - MimeOLE : Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V5.00.2615.200 Date : Sat , 26 Aug 2000 13:29:31 -0600 a Dear Lawrence Thanks for sending me the Salome portrait - it suitably brings to a close Maud's association with the story ! I wonder if , apart from the usual criteria , there was a hidden motive in publishing it ? It strikes me that Huby may be a Hungarian name , and certainly the pose of the decapitated head suggests that The Vision of Salome was a source of ' inspiration . ' Where and how did you find it- in fact , did you ' buy it ? It may be of interest to the movie producers - the project is on track , to my considerable surprise . I assume they will be ' consulting ' me this coming year . Soon , I will pursue the idea of a revised , sexy , version of the Salome Dancer to appear in time with the production . It seems that CTV is involved , so the project may be more of a TV than movie house idea . I will eventually gather enough courage - because that is what is involved - re the piano roll tape . Courage , because the music is somewhere on a tape that includes a conversation with my father - and to hear his voice is somehow debilitating . I deliberately asked that the conversation be erased , but it wasn't . I don't know if ' courage'is the correct term . I feel awful about the way I have lost contact with Brian , the longer I delay the worse the greater the discomfort because it is all so very unjustified , not to say unintentional . A friend tells me of a strange sequence of events regarding his hard cover book on'musical prodigies . ' Recently , the rights to this book were bought by a Japanese publisher who plans to publishe it on the Web . Of course , the Suzuki ( sp ) school of music explains the Japanese publisher's interest . My point is that one or more of your various publications might have a similarly potential market somewhere on the Web . ( I don't mean MA and Her Art ) . Very probably you are well aware of this form of computer publucation - I was told of it only last week , and find it a fascinating concept . My Trio account is on hold . Jan's son wants to cut out the ' intellectual / musical ' content - and commission a professional writer to do the job . It's strange how this project has become , as it were , ' a child of my bowels , ' all the more because my brother has been such a shillful midwife . . . . And now this cousin wants a hagriography . That hurts . But he can't burn or ban the original Best regards , Felix . < !
