Son DESSES Epoco LUCOSER Anna Blewchamp In 1963 , when I was a ballet student training at the Ballet Rambert , Martha Graham and her company performed at the Edinburgh Festival , Scotland , and at the Prince of Wales Theatre in London . This event seems in retrospect to be the incipient cause of a long fascination with a particular way of being in the body - a fascination sparked first by an almost forgotten visual image and reanimated constantly by erratic contact with the image come to life . Although I did not see the 1963 Graham performances , I remember seeing photographs in the magazine Dance and Dancers . One in particular sank into my brain ... into that place where odds and ends of possibly meaningful stuff hide away until re - animates ital . 154
