D. A. CONRAD Impressive services for the late Dr. David A. Conrad were held at 11 o'clock yesterday morning from his Montecito residence on the val ley road . A simple funeral service from the Episcopal creed was read by the Rev. Clarence A. Spaulding . The services were largely attend ed , and there was a profusion of floral offerings to the memory of the respected resident . Honorary pall bearers were , Dr. Philip Chancelor , Kendall Rogers , Stanley Mason , George Baker . Jack Gamble , George Tallant , Hall Brain ard , Milo Potter , Frank Knott , Dr. Harold Sidebotham , George Kendall and G. H. Baker . Following the service , the body was sent to Los Angeles for crema tion , Jan 4 1946 , Santa Barbara newspaper Apul 9 , 1920 . 1 N David Andrew Conrad Claimed by Death noz n . David Andrew Conrad , of the Montecito Hotel , died Whursday night at a local hospital after a brief illness . Mr. Conrad , who at one time was widely known as a tennis player , was born Nov. 13 , 1901 , in Pasadena , and had lived in Santa Barbara since 1907. He at tended Stanford University and graduated from the University of California at Berkeley , where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity . He is a for mer member of the San Fran . cisco Curb Exchange , the Mon tecito Country Club and the Coral Casino . A son , David Andrew Conrad Jr. , survives . Funeral services will be con ducted Saturday at 11 am at the Santa Barbara Cemetery Chapel . Friends have been requested to omit flowers . 2
