Dear Sir : Realizing fully your great interest in the welfare of the morals of the people , I have the honor to enclose a copy of a letter which I am sending to the chairman of the Republican State Committee of New York . Should the suggestion that the Republican party advocate the estab lishment of a stage censorship in this state meet with your approval I earnestly urge that you use your great influence to have it accomplished . It is a crying need and -ve plain citizens are help less in forcing a reform of the present -abuses unless aided by the gentlemen of great influence in the adminis tration of af fairs .
