New York Times July 26 1913 p.17 Duel over Turkey Trot Berlin July 25 A fatal duel was fo ght this mornong between a Prussian General and a Lietenant Colenel whose names are suppressed he General challenged his opponen because the Colonel criticised him for allowing his daughter to dance the Turkey Trot with an officer at a garrison ball . The General , infuriated over the criticism insisted on a duel to the death . The combatants fought with swords and after a short while th Lieuteant was fatally wounded in the head .
