San Francico Chronicle April 11 1897 Yvette Guilbert has commenced her progress toward a different class of work by appearing at La Scala in Paris at a series of monlogues " A Symphonie and Allegorical Trtiptych " it is called in a French neewspaper and the title is " Pessima " . She sings and recites as many as 22 songs in the piece , which is illustrated with views thrown on the screen She is evidently determined to make her transition to the dramatic stagw a graddual mattetr . SFChronicle April 11 1897 Mlee Bob - Walter who is doing the serpentine dance in a cage of lions at the Gaietie Paris , is a very pretty Parisienne , who makes up to reseemble Loie Fuller , even to the blond wig in wild confusion . The lions in whose cage she dances are whelps , big enough and old enough and ugle enough to be dangerous .
