May 10th 1988 Dear FElix , I wished very much to answer your note of February fairly promptly , but I have been suffering from much business and some illness . I hope by now you will have found your publisher in London , and if I survive long enough I shall hope to hear the name from you . When I opened your letter and saw the name Felix , I thought for a moment that it must refer to FElix Fonteyn , Margo's brother , and I supposed he had gone over to Panama where she now lives and cattle - farms . Then I saw your address in Edmonton , and knew I was wrong . A book on Maud's libel action was published a few months ago and I reviewed it , but I think it has not made a triumphant experience for anyone . Yours is in the tradition of making a reasonably accurate play . I think the time for what used to be called ' barefoot dances ' is gone , but if it should have a noted success on the stage , a revival might follow and the book , made interesting by your intimate knowledge , would go down well . I hope so , after all your long research . Drop me a line when it is available , and say who will be doing it . I have recenty written an autobiography , but have not shown it round to more than one publisher so far . I should like to think that I continue to have intelligent publishers . Whatever I succeed in getting , please let me know from time to time how things go with you . Hoping all is well with you and yours . Love , Doris hangley Morre ( 11 )
