Jan offered three familiar Chopin numbers and Liszt's quarette from Rigoletto . His Chopin was slavic rather than conventional . He developed a veiled tone of quality in the scale and arpeggio work , but he missed the fine gradations of tone between the pianissimos and the thunderings of Liszt . Still , he is an eminent pianist despite his youth and may yet become a great artist . That he has the temperamental qualities was displayed in the grace and elegance of his ensemble playing . All three brothers who are by the way tall men of distinction , with great repose oif manners were recalled and played extra numbers . [ Under auspices of the Citizens ' recruiting League . ] .
