The upper portion Costumes lies loosely over the shoulders . It's a sort of dirty champagne color . White is too harsh . But , you know , I don't make a speciality of costumes " [ dig at Isadora ? ] " What do you wear in the Peer Gynt numbers ? " TO " Well , that starts out with the cold gray dawn , you know . It must be mistylike and vague . I have about me a lavender colored affair with waves of white chiffon gathered near the waist . This gives th3 effect of clouds and the slig test trace of colors conveys the impression of a flicker of sunshi e breaking its way through the mist . It's beautiful ! " Ibid , Jan. 24 : TOTO Miss Allan's art is more like that of Miss Duncan than has been any dancer's seen here somce that eaponent ra of the Greek art became known to us . Miss Allan's art is the equal of Miss Duncan's and in certain respects impresses as of even braoder scope . It is not so purely and unyieldingly Greek . It has greater variety and therefore is more elastic nd OVER more satisfying as a medium for translating the music into motion .
