At the Sudbury recital of 1957, Nancy’s Advanced students presented a work titled “The Sorcerer”. Standing at the back as the Sorcerer is Tini Pel. Pel would continue Nancy’s work founding the Sudbury Arts Guild and the Nickel Belt Ballet Company.

Nancy Lima Dent 107a, b, c
From Sudbury Daily Star, 25 May 1956, p. 17

Nancy Lima Dent 108a, b was folded in half and wrapped around items 109 to 114

Nancy Lima Dent 115a, b
The front of the clipping is in English but the back is in a Slavic language so both were copied in case the back text gives clues to the paper’s origin, dated 1956 in pen on the front

Nancy Lima Dent 121a, b, c
The front and back of this 8.5x14 sheet were clearly a house program but the inside had no program information and Nancy had used it to type up notes about classes.

Nancy Lima Dent 122a-e
Item e was folded in half and inserted into the program

Nancy Lima Dent 129a-b
The reverse side (b) appears to be a part of a report though the rest of the report is not in her files

132 – 204
These are all in a subfolder marked “Teaching Notes, Sudbury and Garson, 1955-1957”. Some of them were written or typed on the backs of recycled paper but if the information on the back was career related, I scanned both sides. That’s why you will see numbers with a and b on them and yet the scans will seem unrelated.

1957 CABOUT People ' n ' Things n * * SPEAKING OF EVENTS TAKING PLACE this week , Friday night is important to many residents of Garson , for it's that night that the work of students of the Garson Community Dance School will be seen , and ther accomplishments of the past year shown , at the annual recital . Nancy Lima Dent , the teacher at the dance school , is leaving Sudbury district to return to Toronto next month to make her home again . Her loss will be a great one , not only to Garson , but to Sudbury as well , for she has accomplished a great deal since her arrival here two years ago . There's been an interesting program of dance planned for the 50 students of the dancing school at Garson . These youngsters , ranging in age from six to 17 , have worked hard to perfect routines ready for Friday night . The Garson Community Dance School executive , headed by Mrs. Ethel Cronin , has extended an invitation Nancy Dent to anyone interested in dance and drama to attend . The function is to take place at 8 o'clock at the Garson Union Hall . Ethel Cronin told us her committee is working hard to make the event noteworthy She is being assisted by Irene Haluschak , past president , Mrs. Dorothy Olivier , of Falconbridge , and Bertha Kreko , who has designed some exquisite costumes . Everyone is extremely disappointed that Nancy is leaving Sudbury and plan to make Friday's recital a memorable event for her . Betty Weakes
